Talking About Cancer Related Pain: What you, your family and your doctor need to know

Many people with cancer-related pain may have some pain that “breakthrough” their regular pain medication. This FREE program will help you and your support persons better understand the difference between background and breakthrough pain. It will also help you and your family talk with your doctor about getting your pain under control. Please join Dr. Vania E. Fernández, Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology at the University of Miami, for a dynamic presentation about the different types of pain and solutions for better pain control. Free educational materials will be distributed including a convenient pain tracker to help you provide your health care provider with important information on the pain you may be experiencing.
