THE FIRST STEP to participate in ANY OF OUR programs listed below is to make an appointment to attend an Orientation Meeting where you will learn about our FREE cancer support programs. Please call 305-668-5900 to schedule your Orientation Meeting today.
WEEKLY SUPPORT GROUPS
Ongoing, weekly support groups, led by licensed mental health professionals are at the heart of our program. Our groups can help you maintain hope, regain a sense of control, and let you know that you are not alone in this time of need. We have face-to-face and internet support groups in English and Spanish. A pre-group meeting with group facilitator is required prior to attending*.
MONTHLY PROGRAM-SPECIFIC NETWORKING GROUPS
Groups for cancer patients, survivors, family members and friends to share feelings and concerns around particular matters or diagnoses. As is true of all the programs we offer, these Networking Groups are led by licensed mental health professionals. RSVP required*.
Ongoing Education is designed to create a platform to teach methods for coping, stress reduction and other life skills. These classes (ongoing in structure or a complete course over several weeks) vary according to our members' interests and available local experts. RSVP required*.
Educational programs which provide an opportunity to learn more about nutrition, relaxation, exercise and other topics specific to individuals with cancer and their caregivers. RSVP is required ONLY for Nutrition*.
Informal gatherings that offer a wonderful opportunity to meet and spend time in the company of others who are going through a cancer experience as patients, survivors or caregivers of someone with cancer. RSVP is required*.
